Kwik Kar Marsh held its HoodRaiders car clinic for Girl Scout Troop 6450 from Coppell, Texas. The girls participated in a hands on session of automotive maintenance led by the staff of Kwik Kar Marsh. The Girl Scout Troop is part of the Girl Scouts of Northeast Texas Council and contacted Kwik Kar Marsh owner, Corrine Hudson, about attending a HoodRaiders class.
The car clinic at Kwik Kar Marsh taught the soon to be drivers how to check a car’s oil level, how to change a tire, how to check the air filter, wiper blades, cabin filter, battery and much more.
Troop Leader, Amber said, “Kwik Kar Marsh hosted us for their “HoodRaiders” basic car maintenance program. We are a Girl Scout troop of 10th grade girls. The owner, Corrine Hudson, was great to communicate with in getting it set up for our troop to participate – always very quick to reply to emails. The program was very well thought out, organized, and full of useful information for my group of new drivers. The mechanics at Kwik Kar Marsh were very knowledgeable and patient with our group. They were willing to answer questions and provided lots of hand-on practice, keeping the girls engaged and eager to learn the entire time. The staff described working there like being part of a family and it was very evident what a close-knit group they all are.”
