Ray Ellis was legendary. He was a pioneer of the quick lube industry and passed away in late October. In 1964, Ray Ellis and a business partner entered the construction business building the first Kwik Kar Washes. In 1984, Ray Ellis entered the quick lube industry by launching Kwik Kar.
Kwik Kar is the number one oil change destination in the DFW area and there are over 390 locations in Texas.
Ray loved the business so much he soon bought out his business partner and discovered his real talent and passion: More than the simple construction jobs, he excelled at creating businesses for others.
Over the past 25 years, Ellis’ true success was getting his entire family involved at Kwik Industries. Today, Kwik Industries is one of the most successful builders of car washes, oil and lube centers and dry cleaners in the nation. Ray Ellis was a part of the family business right up until he died. He wouldn’t have wanted it any other way.
